Founder, Azure Innovation Station

Who Am I?

Frankie Riviera

I'm Frankie Riviera, founder of Azure Innovation Station.

From 2021 to 2024 I worked at Microsoft as an app modernization specialist for large U.S. healthcare and life sciences companies. I helped them move and rebuild software on Azure, and I brought GitHub and AI tools to their developers.

Since leaving Microsoft in January 2024, I have grown Azure Innovation Station on YouTube from 20 to 13,000+ subscribers. Microsoft named me a Microsoft MVP for Azure in 2024 and renewed the award in 2026 with Microsoft Foundry added.

Today I build websites, AI agents, and automations for businesses, and I train teams to build their own.

At Microsoft

  • I led a national healthcare company's move off Pivotal Cloud Foundry to Azure before a $1.5M renewal came due, saving it $700K a year in support costs.
  • I helped a $2.25B revenue cycle management company put all 643 of its engineers on GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Copilot in 2023.
  • I opened a national healthcare company's developer conference with a GitHub Copilot talk. Attendees installed Copilot the next day, and the company asked me back for about 300 developers and data scientists.

Since Microsoft

  • Microsoft MVP for Azure and Microsoft Foundry
  • 13,000+ YouTube subscribers and 1.3 million views
  • 2,000+ members in my free Azure community
  • Got a Microsoft Foundry Python SDK bug fixed the next day by reporting it to the Foundry product team through the MVP program
